mennonite sale for world peace
The 30th annual Peace Sale was held on:
Saturday, November 9, 2019, 12pm - 5pm
Thank you for coming!
A celebration of the handmade and the unique, the practical and the beautiful, our Peace Sale takes tradition and gives it a few modern touches. Buy handmade treasures; bid on a quilt during the live auction; browse Ten Thousand Villages; drink Fair Trade coffee; feast on freshly prepared food, take home a shoo-fly pie - and know that you're supporting peace and justice efforts at home and abroad.
The 2019 Peace Sale featured:
Handmade crafts including knitting, sewing, crochet, and embroidery. Find beautiful gifts for baby showers, weddings, Christmas, and more!
Freshly baked bread, pies, cakes, and cookies (including the famous peppernuts!); there will also be jams and jellies, granola, and other handmade treats. Look for gluten-free and other inclusive options!
Ten Thousand Villages Pop-Up
Fair Trade homewares, jewelry, Christmas decorations, soap, and much more, made by artisans from many countries.
Black Sea Bazaar - Turkish Pottery & Ceramics
Artist Esra Erkan has sent some of her acclaimed ceramic works from her studio, Simurg Tile Workshop, in Iznik, Turkey. Iznik (formerly Nicaea) has produced pottery since the Roman, Byzantine, Seljuk, and Ottoman Empires. Iznik ware is distinctive because of its variety of complex designs and rich, vibrant colors.
Live auction of unique, hand-crafted quilts and comforters, along with woodworking and other items.
First-time bidders will need to register before the auction begins, so please plan to arrive a little before the auction start time of 1:30pm.
