Proceeds from the 2019 Houston Peace Sale will go in equal parts to: Mennonite Central Committee and RAICES (Refugee and Immigrant Center for Education and Legal Services).

Mennonite Central Committee is a global nonprofit organization that strives to share God’s love and compassion for all through relief, development, and peace.

In all their programs they are committed to relationships with local partners. Areas of focus include relief; food; water; health; education; migration; peace; and Restorative Justice.

As an Anabaptist organization, Mennonite Central Committee strives to make peace a part of everything they do. When responding to disasters, they work with local groups to distribute resources in ways that minimize conflict.
In their development work, they plan with community and church groups to make sure the projects meet their needs. And they advocate for policies that will lead to a more peaceful world.

RAICES (Refugee and Immigrant Center for Education and Legal Services) promotes justice by providing free and low-cost legal services to immigrant children, families, and refugees.
RAICES is the largest immigration legal services provider in Texas and is a frontline organization in the roiling debate about immigration and immigrants in the world.
As an organization that combines expertise developed from the daily practice of immigration law with a deep commitment to advocacy, RAICES is unique among immigration organizations.
Advocacy and commitment to change are driven by the clients and families served every day as attorneys and legal assistants provide legal advocacy and representation in an immigration system that breaks apart families and leaves millions without pathways to legal status.
